You know how much I love trying out new beauty products. Here are 6 products that I’m adding to my makeup bag for fall and trying out for the next few weeks.
[one:] Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara
I have fairly fine and short lashes, so a mascara with volume as well as length is super important to me. I don’t like wearing fake lashes on a day to day basis, so I’m always on the hunt for a good mascara. I’m a drugstore mascara girl at heart, but this Caution Extreme from Hourglass has been getting a lot of hype. I’m excited to give it a go.
[two:] L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara ‘Burgundy’
I’ve used L’Oreal’s Voluminous mascara in the past and liked it. I also have tried the Carbon Black version and liked it even more. Fall has me feeling spunky this year. I got bangs, and now I’m going to try out a burgundy mascara!
[three:] Tatcha The Water Cream
A change of season doesn’t always elicit a major change for makeup, but it does mean a transition in my skincare. As time goes on, my combo skin is leaning more on the dry side. I’m new to Tatcha and want to delve deeper into the brand; and I’m starting with The Water Cream. It’s supposed to be infused with some of the most powerful Japanese skincare ingredients so that it can fight signs of aging, hydrate the skin, and is oil free.
[four:] Colourpop ‘Foolish’ Lux Lipstick
Last fall, I was all about the deep, vampy berry colors with a casual splash on a dark orange. This year, I’m leaning a little more toward nudes and slightly brighter orange shades. I ordered a few Lux Lipsticks from Colourpop, a formula I’ve never tried before. ‘Foolish’ seemed to be a color I’d be really into–described as a deepened orange.
[five:] Elf Monochromatic Multi Stick in ‘Sparkling Rose’
If you’ve been around for a while, you know how much I love a good multi-tasking product. I was poking around Elf’s website recently and saw they had a multi-use stick situation. I picked up the shade ‘Sparkling Rose’ and am excited to give it a go for fall. I think it’ll create a beautiful and easy monochromatic makeup look.
[six:] Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ‘Grapefruit’
Without using a proper lip balm, my lips are easily dry. For the past couple of years, I have been a slave to The Lip Sleeping Mask from Laneige. It’s a sweet berries and cream scent and seriously hydrated the lips. When applied at night, I wake up and can still feel it on my lips. And when applied during the day, it leaves a rosy pink color that’s cute for no makeup days.
They recently released additional, limited edition flavors. And I missed them! They were sold out by the time I got around to ordering them. However, Sephora has a sampler set right now that includes a big tub of the original and small sizes of the grapefruit, lime, and vanilla flavors.
I’m particularly intrigued in the grapefruit flavor. I find citrusy scents like that to be relaxing at night, before bed.
