I’m not sure if you’ve picked up on the fact I’m kind of lazy when it comes to my makeup routine sometimes. I love makeup, and I own more than my fair share. But sometimes, I just can’t be bothered with a 37 step routine. Enter multi-taskers.
Today I’m hitting you with 6 multi-tasking products I think you could use in your makeup bag. These aren’t necessarily things that are marketed as multi-tasking products, and none of this is really rocket science. Maybe you’re someone who travels often or doesn’t own a huge makeup collection. Maybe you’re a mom, college student, or someone who doesn’t have a lot of time or want an overly complex makeup routine on the daily. Regardless of the situation, it never hurts to scale back the amount of products you have to use.

Supergoop! City Sunscreen Serum
If you’ve read any number of my posts, you probably know my passion for sun protection. If you find yourself skimping on the SPF during your typical beauty routine, try using a 2 for 1 product like this serum from Supergoop! Not only will it offer you SPF 30, it’s chalk full of antioxidants like Vitamin E and B5. It’s lightweight and hydrating, and will leave your skin smooth, radiant, and protected from the sun.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
This is one of those products with tons of prestige in the beauty industry, and for good reason. At its core, this is prefect for moisturizing and protecting. Apply it to dry skin and hands and on any minor skin irritations, and you’ll have relief that lasts hours. It goes beyond basic moisturization, though. You can use this to shape your eye brows, soften cuticles, or as a mix in for dry lip products. You can also dot this along your cheekbones or cheeks for a natural looking highlight. I like to use it that way when I want a highlight with no shimmer.

First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer
This is a product that is designed to be a 3-in-1 product, but what I love about it is that you can use it alone as each of those three functions, or only once as a multi-use step. Alone as a moisturizer, this feels hydrating on the skin, and leaves your face feeling fairly smooth. However, it stays a little bit tacky, which makes it great as a primer for foundation. And the illuminating element creates a gorgeous glow. You can apply all over the face or targeted to the places of the face you want to highlight.

E.l.f Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Face Palette
I love this palette for a lot of reasons. It’s an all in one face palette without the high price tag. But I love palettes in general, because you can utilize the powders all over your face. Don’t be afraid to use powders on different parts of your face–if it’s labeled eye or face, it doesn’t really matter with powders.
I love using this on my face to bronze and add a bit of subtle contour and highlighting. But I also like to use it as eye shadow. A lot of the time, I go for a pretty natural eye look, and I just want to add a bit of definition and warmth to the eyes. Using the same bronzing shades on my eyes makes the entire face look cohesive and polished, without having to reach for multiple products.

Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil
I like to use this because I can draw in individual hair strokes to fill in any sparse areas in my brows. But I also like to add just a teeny tiny wing at the outside on my eye, to give me that elongated, cat eye effect. Because it’s a brow pencil and light in tone, it doesn’t give me anything too dramatic and almost looks like an extension of the actual eye–because it’s the same cool tone as a natural shadow would have.

Bite Beauty Multistick
There are a lot of multistick products on the market, but I really love the Bite Beauty Multistick. Unlike some, it’s more of a powdery product, so it won’t slip and slide when applied to various parts of the face. I really enjoy using these as blush and on my eyes. When applied gently, you’re left with a subtle pop of color, but these can be built up to a very pigmented color. Since they are a little drier in formulation, I’d recommend using something balmy (like the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream) to add a bit of moisture back into the lip when using these as lip colors.
