After my beginning of the year beauty no-buy, I wrote a piece about not buying new makeup. I wasn’t getting excited about any new releases and didn’t have an urge to purchase anything new. And for a while, I really felt like that. Nothing seemed interesting or better than what I already used and loved. However, as I was looking at the ‘Just Arrived’ section on Sephora’s website last week, I was very intrigued by so many new launches.
I’m actually getting excited about some of the new makeup. I feel inspired and creative, and I love feeling this way. So today I wanted to highlight a few of the products I’ve added to my lust list.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick
I was immediately excited about the new Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Sticks from Marc Jacobs. Their lip products have done nothing but please me in the past, so I’m excited to try something new. For the past few years, the market has been immensely saturated with matte liquid lip products, which totally have a time and place. But I, personally, have been craving hydrating lipsticks.
These are supposed to be a sheer gloss formula in a stick applicator. I’ve swatched these in store, and the texture is cushiony and is conditioning (on my hand anyway) with a high-shine finish.
There are 8 colors in this collection, and honestly I can’t decide which to try first. I think I’m leaning toward ‘Black Cherry Baby,’ a bronze cherry color.

Viseart Petit Pro 3 Eye Shadow Palette
I’ve never tried anything from Viseart; I hear good reviews about the powders, but I’ve always thought they were pricey. These Petit Pro palettes intrigue me, because they’re smaller and less expensive.
The Petit Pro 3, in particular, interests me because of the colors! I have so many warm-toned neutral palettes. And while I like that style of eye shadow, I kind of want to try something else. This palette does have some warm neutral tones, but I’m a little excited about the pretty lilac and green shades.

Benefit Cosmetics Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation
Initially I wasn’t that interested in this. I tend to just gloss over Benefit complexion products, because I haven’t found any that wow me in the past. But after seeing numerous reviews on this foundation, I think I’d like it.
Benefit’s Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation is described as being a light to medium coverage liquid with SPF 15 that offers a natural finish. It’s supposed to even out the skin tone and blur imperfections with soft-focus blurring spheres. Sephora’s website says it’s lightweight, buildable, and made with shea extract which is known to smooth the look of the skin and protect it.
There’s 12 shades in a pretty good range.

Kiehl’s Buttermask Intense Repair Lip Treatment
I’m always on the hunt or the best lip balms. I find my lips get irritated often, mostly because I pick at them frequently.
The Buttermask Intense Repair Treatment is an overnight mask made with coconut oil and mango butter, so it’ll repair the lip’s moisture barrier and provide hydration for soft lips.
It really sounds right up my alley.

Beauty Blender InstaClean Sponge + Brush Cleansing Spray
I already use and love the Beauty Blender solid cleanser for my brush cleaning, but sometimes I just want a quick cleanse or color switch situation. The Cinema Secrets brush cleanser is great for that, but I think this new brush cleansing spray from Beauty Blender will behave similarly. It’s kind of like a dry shampoo for your makeup brushes.

Nars Afterglow ‘Orgasm’ Lip Balm
Nars recently has been expanding their ‘Orgasm’ product line, which makes me giddy inside. The ‘Orgasm‘ blush was one of the first makeup products I actually purchased and used, so seeing it expand to other aspects of the Nars product line is exciting. While I purchased the lipstick version last year and wasn’t super impressed, I would like to try out the lip balm.
What I didn’t like about the lipstick was the glitter in it mixed with the almost matte formula of the lipstick. I thought it looked kind of crusty and weird of my lips. Plus, the color is a light peach, and with my skin tone being so fair with a lot of pink around my mouth, it just wasn’t good. I’m thinking the moisturizing and glossy nature of a lip balm would look better.
