Do you have a go-to outfit for chilly autumn days? Let me guess, jeans and boots. It’s quick. It’s easy, and it’s pretty foolproof. Before you start thinking, “Boots? For fall? Groundbreaking,” hear me out. Like the leaves, denim and boot trends are changing (I had to, I’m sorry). Classic is good, but there are also many new and fresh ways to pair the two staples this year.
Personally, I love mixing pieces you wouldn’t immediately think ‘go’ together. For instance, pairing floral ankle boots with frayed, relaxed denim sounds heavenly to me. You get femininity from the floral pattern and the heels, but the edge and distressed edges adds unexpected interest. It’s about getting creative.

Classic Skinnies + Over-the-knee Boots
Skinny jeans are just easier with knee-high and over-the-knee boots because there’s simply less fabric to stuff into them.

Leather Culottes + Pointed Toe Booties
The break in the pants will take length from the leg, but the pointed toe in the same color will elongate it again.
