Are you a creature of habit? Same. And when it comes to the blog, I find that causes me to talk about the same products over and over again. But there are so many beauty brands out there with great products! And I want to introduce you, my audience, to them. But in order to do that, I’ve got to try them first. So in 2021, I want to spice it up a little with the brands I feature. And today we’re going over 6 beauty brands I want to review this year.
Last year I made a list of beauty brands I wanted to try in the new year…and I did not do that. I don’t know what happened! Actually, I do. A lot of my favorite brands came out with new products I was interested in, like the Bite Beauty Changemaker Foundation. Some new brands cropped up like Rare Beauty and Gucci Beauty. And I tried some new existing brands instead, like Tower 28. And so my list of luxury beauty brands to try went by the wayside. But not this year!
5 Beauty Brands I Want to Review This Year
No. 1 | Persona Cosmetics
I hear a lot about Persona and their products. I’m always intrigued by the color stories and the promo photos. But I’ve never even come close to purchasing anything. I’ll add it to a wishlist where it sits and sits until I forget. I think I mainly want to try to the lip glosses since I have hopped on the gloss train with both feet, and those are what I hear the highest praises about from the brand.
my Persona wishlist:
No. 2 | Lethal Cosmetics
Another brand I really want to try this year is Lethal Cosmetics. I use Lethal’s palette builder to create my TV inspired palettes, because I love the color selections. But I haven’t ever tried the shadows for myself. While the brand has a full array of product options spanning from eye shadows to face powders to liners to lip glosses, I’m most interested in the eye shadows. I’m particularly drawn to the metallics and duochromes!
No. 3 | Salt New York
Salt New York came onto my radar last year, almost, exclusively by Kackie Reviews Beauty on Youtube. At first, I was interested in the future of the brand’s career. But I wasn’t inclined to make any purchases. At the time, I wasn’t incredibly interested in cream products. Not yet. But my interest in cream face products has grown significantly, and I think it’s finally time to give it a go.
One thing I love about the Salt New York Brand is that it’s a cleaner, woman owned, made in the US brand. The packaging is sleek and cool, and I’m overall just impressed by the reviews and product.
No. 4 | Kosas
Kosas, to me, is one of those cool girl brands you see all over Instagram and in Facebook ads. And I constantly find myself saving the posts to refer back to later. I’m intrigued because I feel like it’s Glossier’s sexy older sister. A little more oomph, but still able to give you a natural looking face of makeup. Which, honestly, is exactly what I’m going for lately.
my kosas wishlist:
No. 5 | Victoria Beckham Beauty
Sometimes I’m a bit reluctant with celebrity beauty brands. Not always, but oftentimes I just find them to seem a little … cash grabby. However, I don’t feel at all that way Posh Spice’s beauty line. First of all, the packaging and product is absolutely stunning. Everything the brand releases, I immediately add to my wishlist.
Aside from the packaging and luxury product, I really feel like she genuinely has a hand in the brand and its mission. The brand prides itself on being the change the luxury beauty industry needs and focuses on formulation transparency, education, inclusivity, safety, and sustainability.
my victoria beckham beauty wishlist:
No. 6 | Em Cosmetics
And the last brand I’d like to try is Michelle Phan’s brand, Em Cosmetics. This is one I’ve had on my radar for a while but always shy away from purchasing. I really think it’s just because I’m a tiny bit lazy when it comes from shopping off of individual brand websites. I don’t know why I’m like that. But I’m intrigued by so many of the launches, and I hear great reviews about the brand overall.
I’ve had most of these brands on my radar for quite a long time, and I’m really excited about trying new brands for the blog this year. Have any of you tried anything from these brands or have any recommendations from them?
