Anastasia Beverley Hills has come out with a lot of new products recently. In the past year, we’ve seen ABH push out body oils, a new foundation release, loose pigments, highlighters, and powders as well as a ton of eye shadow palettes. From Riviera to the Alyssa Edwards palette to the Norvina Pro Pigment palette.
Since I am balling on a budget these days, I didn’t jump on every new launch right away. And truthfully, I wasn’t even tempted by most of them. But when I saw the palette collaboration with Jackie Aina, I was intrigued.
the basics –
This limited edition palette is a collaboration between ABH and influencer Jackie Aina. It features 14 new shadows and pigments, Jackie’s must-have shades for “straight up gorgeous looks.” The palette retails for $45 and claims to be cruelty and gluten free.
In this palette, you get 6 mattes and 8 metallic/shimmer shades.
the packaging –
Unlike the velvet packaging of past palettes, the Jackie Aina palette is packaged in an iridescent, reptile print. It’s actually quite beautiful, and won’t get nearly as dirty as the velvet packaging.
The palette comes with a dual-ended brush, similar to other ABH palettes.
the shade selection –
I already knew I enjoyed ABH’s formula going in, so what really drew me in to the Jackie Aina palette was the color scheme. It screams fall to me! And I think you can get a good, every day or neutral look from this palette, something moody and dramatic, as well as something bold and colorful.

the review –
As I previously said, I typically enjoy ABH palettes. The Jackie Aina palette is no different. I love the color story here, and most of the shades are extremely unique and something I don’t have in my collection currently — especially the shimmers.
If you aren’t familiar with Jackie, she is a colored woman, so she specifically created this with deep skin tones in mind. So these shades are going to look AMAZING on deeper complexion. But I’m white as paper and I still feel I can make them work for me as well.
The mattes vary in depth and tone, which makes them diverse and interesting. And the shimmers are not only amazingly intense, but they’re unique and compelling.
In terms of formulation, this is my favorite ABH palette yet. The color is so rich and isn’t patchy on the eye. Is there a little fallout? Sure, but when working with deep shades, I typically do my eyes first anyway.
the bottom line –
I love this and highly recommend if you want some unique shimmers and metallic shades or are of a deeper complexion and want something that will really pop on your lid.
