Born and raised in West Virginia, I fell out of place when I realized my passion for style, writing, and beauty trends. Trust me, it isn’t easy strutting around the muddy hills of WV, but I’ve managed for 26 years.
My interests fall beyond the realm of style + beauty and into realms of classic British literature, binge watching TV shows, and cooking. I also get distracted by cups of coffee, flower gardens, and thrift stores.
The Lipstick Narratives is a place for me to document all of the above + anything else that strikes my fancy.

I’m inspired by beauty trends–the crazier, the better. But my personal makeup style is a little subdued and “wearable.” The Lipstick Narratives (TLN) is a beauty space for the everyday. I want to teach beauty lovers to transition editorial living to everyday life.
Since TLN is a space that represents me and similar personalities, we also will venture into realms of fashion, lifestyle, and home.
My Skin Type, Hair Type, etc.
Makeup, haircare, skincare, and other beauty products tend to be pretty personal. And just because I like or dislike something doesn’t mean it won’t work/will work for you. For reference, this is the information about what I’m working with and basing reviews from:
- Hair type: Thin; fine; issues: thinning, dry scalp
- Skin type: (face) normal-dry; issues: occasional breakouts, dry patches; (body) sensitive
