July’s Allure Beauty Box is all about enjoying the little things. This summer’s “little things” have largely been cancelled due to Covid, so Allure has put together a bunch of seasonal pick me ups. Therefore, this box serves as “a summer beauty starter pack.” So let’s see what’s inside the Allure Beauty Box for July 2020.

Beautaniq Beauty Butter Lip & Cheek Balm: This box is skincare heavy, which I don’t mind. But I do love getting to try out new makeup products. this lip and cheek duo is lightweight and a peachy pink shade. I haven’t used it on either my lips or cheeks, but the swatch I did on my hand feels very nourishing and hydrating.
Full size in box $16

Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum*: This is the big ticket item in this month’s box, and I’m actually really excited about it. It’s right up my alley, formulated to achieve “glass skin” — glowy, poreless, and perfected. This serum is a cocktail of good for your skin ingredients including peach extract, niacinamide, East Asian mountain yam, madecassoside, peptides, and hyaluronic acid help to hydrate, calm, brighten and firm skin.
Osea Ocean Cleanser*: You know I love a good cleanser, and Osea is a brand I am acquainted with. The Ocean Cleanser is supposed to be good for dry/normal skin to mineralize and balance the skin.
Full size $48 ; Box value $5.76*
Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Gel Cream^*: This calming gel is good for moisturizing dry skin without irritating oily areas and calming redness. I have used a couple of the products from this Cicapair line, and I do find it to neutralize redness.
^ Your box contains either Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Gel Cream OR Every Sun Day Mineral Sunscreen (kind of wish I got that instead.)
Full size $48 ; Box value $4.80*
Lapcos Daily Skin Mask Charcoal*: Lapcos masks are no stranger to this subscription. This one is charcoal based, so it’s supposedly going to pull dirt from pores with charcoal powder. However, unlike most charcoal based masks, this one balances clarifying ingredients like salicylic acid and tea tree oil with hydrating ones like sodium hyaluronate.
Avarelle Acne Cover Patch: I’ve used a few different brands’ similar product before, and I do find that they work. I’m intrigued to see if this does as well.
Full size $8.50 for 40 patches ; Box value $1.70 for 8 patches
[ box total: $70.26 ]

Overall, I’m really happy with this box. I’ll definitely use that Peach & Lily serum — it sounds like everything I love. And the cleanser is intriguing to me as well. The blush and cheek duo is a beautiful color, and I think it’ll get me through the rest of summer. What do you think of this month’s Allure Beauty Box? Check out last month’s box here.
