VDL Lumilayer Primer*:^ This month isn’t a very makeup heavy box, which I don’t mind. The only makeup product this month is this illuminating primer from VDL. I’ve swatched this on my hand, and it adds a beautiful pearlescent and reflective sheen to the skin that makes achieving that glass skin look a breeze.

Skin Inc. My Daily Dose of Glow*: I have actually used this in the past, and I think it’s lovely. The formula suspends pink and blue capsules to create a whimsical wonderland of a serum. The encapsulated molecules contain hydrating hyaluronic acid, clarifying chlorella, and vitamin A for illumination.

I find this serum to leave my skin plump and bouncy and feeling seriously hydrated. This is best, in my opinion, applied as a traditional hyaluronic acid, on damp skin.

Curology The Moisturizer: I’ve gotten the Curology cleanser in a past box, and now I have the moisturizer to complement it! It looks like this is a pillowy textured moisturizer without any frills. Just a simple moisturizer.

EDITOR’S UPDATE: This post was pre-written, and since then I’ve gotten some new info from Allure. The product was mislabeled, and I actually received the cleanser.

AHC Essential Real Eye Cream for Face*: I first read this name, and thought “an eye cream for the face? The hell?” But I read that right. It’s a K-Beauty product that is as concentrated and gentle as an eye cream, but the intention is to use it anywhere on the face.

I already apply a little eye cream to my forehead and around my mouth. So I’m excited to give this one a try!

Acure resurfacing Glycolic & Unicorn Root Cleanser*: The description for this product intrigues me. It goes on as a cream, thickens as you rub it in, and then turns into a foam with water. It’s a resurfacing cleanser with glycolic acid to chemically exfoliate the skin. Unicorn root is a new ingredient to me. It looks like something that is supposed to brighten the skin. But I’d have to do more research on that one.

When Glamour Base Sheet Mask: When I pulled this out of the box, I knew I’d love it. It’s one of those jelly sheet masks that don’t slide off your skin, and with peptides, collagen, and hyaluronic acid, it’s going to make your face feel plump, dewy, and fabulous.

Overall, I really enjoyed the May Allure Beauty Box. The majority of the products are new to me and have me interested and excited to try, and I don’t mind the heaviness of skincare products. And you also get a ton of value in this one. I love that there are 2 full size products this month.
