If you didn’t read my Sephora recommendations post a few weeks ago, I’ll update you. I made a pretty hefty order. There were products I already needed to repurchase, and the sale was just a cherry on top. But there were also a list of things I wanted to try or add to my collection but was waiting for a sale.
There has been so much new makeup released lately. And quite frankly, I can’t keep up. While there is a lot I’d be interested in trying, it’s unrealistic to think I’m going to actually be able to buy all of it. But with all of the announcements, launches, and releases recently, I thought it was time to do another anti Haul.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding this launch. Do a quick Google search if you haven’t seen any of it. However, controversy had little to do with why this made it onto an Anti Haul list. I bought the big palette Jaclyn Hill collaborated with Morphe to make, and I love it. I use it constantly. The quality is there, and the array of colors works for me.
The idea of releasing smaller palettes for a less expensive price was appealing, but I wasn’t extremely interested in any of the configurations. I didn’t have a real need for them considering the other palettes I own and colors I tend to use. Also, as I watched and read reviews, I found there was a lot of inconsistency with the quality. I’m not going to delve deeply into that, but inconsistency mixed with the lack of demand in my collection ultimately made the decision for me. I didn’t need, not gonna buy it.

Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eye Shadows
This is a product concept I like, but know I shouldn’t buy. From what I understand, it’s a creamier, pressed glitter situation. And the swatches looking amazing. At first, I really was intrigued, but I don’t wear glitter eye shadows. So it’d be silly of me to purchase these. I don’t doubt the quality, I just can’t justify it for myself.

Glam Glow STARPOTION Liquid Charcoal Clarifying Oil
I want to like Glam Glow, because everyone always raves about it. I’ve used a few products in the past, and I just haven’t been that impressed. This new clarifying oil is supposed to be good for dryness, dullness, and blemish control. Personally, if I want to use a charcoal product on my skin, I’m going to opt for something from Boscia. I’ve had good luck with them in the past.
This just seems a little gimmicky and trendy to me. Don’t need it, not gonna buy it.

Benefit Brow Contour Pro
Benefit will always get credited for innovative products, in my opinion. And this new brow product is no exception. Remember those pens from grade school that had different colors? That’s the same concept as this new product. You get 2 different brow pencils–one darker, one lighter– to create a multi-dimensional brow look. You also get an edge-definer and arch highlight.
The concept is cool, and I get the intrigue. However, I know I’m never going to use it. On a general day, I run a brow gel through my brows and call it a day. Sometimes I use a pencil if I want a more defined brow. But I never carve out my brows with concealer or a brow highlight. Also, from the reviews I’ve read, the brow pencils aren’t that precise. They’re a little better for filling in.

Halo Beauty Kiwi Seed Skin Booster
Everyone was a little surprised by Tati’s first launch with her brand, Halo Beauty. She came out with a vitamin that targets skin, hair, and nails. Teasers for a new product have been floating around, and it got everybody wondering if it was going to be a skincare product. It was another vitamin, however. This time only focusing on the skin and inflammation in the skin.
I bought the original vitamins, and I didn’t like them. They broke me out tremendously. I didn’t get any above the skin zits, but I got those teeny tiny little bumps all over my chin, cheeks, and forehead. And they went away when I stopped using them. I’m not going to buy these.

Juvia’s Place Nubian Loose Highlighters
Juvia’s Place makes amazing AND affordable eye shadows, and if you haven’t tried them, I’d highly suggest it. Even better, they’re now sold at Ulta! But that’s not what we’re talking about today. When I saw these highlighters swatched, they truly do look beautiful, but I’m not going to buy them. And here’s why. I don’t like loose highlighters. I don’t see the point of buying them when I know I’m not going to use them.
Aside from the composition of the product, I tend to opt for a very natural highlighter, so these may be just a little much for me.
What do you think about these new products? Are you interested in any of them? Are there are launches you definitely aren’t going to buy or can’t wait to jump on? Let me know! And in a few weeks, I’ll have another Anti Haul regarding holiday releases! Can you believe it’s almost that time of year?
