Hello, babes. How have you been? It’s been a little while. About a year ago, Jones Road Beauty was making a loud buzz about the new at the time What The Foundation launch. And that review came with a mixed bag of feelings. However, I was very intrigued. Then, excitingly, the brand reached out a few weeks ago and wanted to send over some product. Now I have some feelings. So today we are going to do a detail Jones Road Brand Review.
an introduction:
Like a lot of beauty lovers, Bobbi Brown has been one of my favorite makeup artists to learn from.
I’ve also always been a fan of the Bobbi Brown brand. The simplicity spoke to me and felt sophisticated. And to this day, some of my favorite products ever are from the mind of Bobbi Brown.
Needless to say, When Bobbi launched Jones Road in 2020, my interest was highly piqued. But I’d yet to try anything. When the brand reached out and asked if I wanted to try any of the product line, the Jacqie in my head was screaming “eeeep.”
I’ve been testing out these products for about 2 months now, and I wanted to let you know how I felt.
If you’ve also been eyeing Jones Road but aren’t sure if it’s worth it, keep reading for my thoughts!
the basics:
The basis of the Jones Road brand is to provide clean beauty products that are both strategic and high-performing.
One of Bobbi Brown’s beauty philosophies has always been to enhance natural features of the face rather than conceal them. And I think this brand does that beautifully.
the products:
The Jones Road product line currently consists of balmy and creamy complexion products as well as powder blushes and bronzers, lip tints, a nostalgic feeling lip gloss, a shimmery face oil, eyeliner pencil, mascara, a brow pencil and cream, liquid, and powder eye shadows.
They also offer various skincare, haircare, and tools.
Prices for the makeup products range from $18-$44 and can be found on the brand’s website at jonesroadbeauty.com.

What The Foundation
Received with equal amounts of love and hate, I was highly interested in trying the WTF: What The Foundation. And I’m here to love it.
This formula combines skincare with coverage. I blend this out with my fingers, and it spreads across the skin leaving it feeling hydrated and plump. My skin looks bright, and the blurring filters in the product leave my skin looking airbrushed.
Do I recommend? Yes
I have a lot to say about this, so I actually posted a full, accompanying, What The Foundation review here.

Miracle Balm in ‘Flushed’
As a general product, the Miracle Balm is trying to be a sheer wash of hydration and light-reflection. There are clear shades, bronze tones, blush tones, and a couple that lean toward a standard highlight shade.
I’ve heard mixed reviews for this product, and the variations tend to be dependent on the shade that was being used. So I can only speak for the one I have, Flushed. Flushed is a cool pink that’s subtle and sheer but offers buildable color.
I was on the hunt for a pink that wasn’t peachy. I’ve realized the cooler toned pinks look better on my skin, and this has been lovely. Every time I use this, I feel like I look fresh and alive. It adds such a pretty pop of pink to my cheeks, as well as a natural looking glow.
I find it to last a really long time on my skin, and it bends in seamlessly with the Jones Road foundation, as well as other foundations I might be using. It also has been a perfect product for no makeup days when I still want a little color in my cheeks.

The Face Pencil
Because the foundation doesn’t cover every blemish, you likely will have to go in with a concealer, and I have surprisingly been loving The Face Pencil. I don’t typically love pencil concealers like this.
It’s quite creamy for a pencil, but has a thicker, sturdier body than the foundation, and that’s what gives you coverage. It’s nice. I also think this looks pretty under the eyes, especially on no makeup days.
My main hang ups here are that it doesn’t last as long as some of my other concealers, and the lightest shade is still a little dark and orange for my skin tone. I can’t use it under my eyes for brightening, because the shade isn’t right. However, texturally, I think this is a really nice pencil concealer.

The Mascara
Big, thick, fluffy, curved wand. Inky black color. And lengthening. The shape of the brush and longevity from the formula really lends to getting a curled lash that stays that way.
However, the formula is really wet. And if you don’t really pay attention and use really soft strokes, it’s easy to get lashes that clump together a little bit, rather than a fluffy lash.
I like this mascara, but it hasn’t replaced my favorites. I think if you are looking for a mascara to curl above all, you’re going to love this. If you want a fluffy lash, you might not.
Do I recommend? Sort of. – I wouldn’t start a Jones Road order based just for this mascara. But if you were already placing an order and wanted to try this, I do think it’s good.

Cool Gloss in ‘Pink Gold Shimmer’
I love the Fenty Gloss bomb in Fenty Glow* and since finishing it, I’ve been reaching for anything that looks similar.
From a color standpoint, I love it. It’s a peachy pink with gold shimmer. I can wear this will a full face of makeup or swipe it on a bare face, and it makes me look a little more alive.
Formula wise, this is good. It feels lightweight and isn’t goopy like some tube glosses can be. I didn’t find it to be sticky or heavy feeling. One of the ingredients is peppermint, so it leaves a tingly, fresh feeling on the lips. The shine makes my lips look plump and juicy. I’ve even used it on my cheekbones as a a tinted shine, and I liked that.
But overall, this was my least favorite product I tried. I don’t think it’s a bad gloss by any means. I just got a “meh” impression from this one.
I could often feel the grittiness from the glitter on my lips. It also wasn’t quite as moisturizing as I like, personally. And I also hated the taste if I got some in my mouth. There are so many other glosses that give me
Do I recommend? I’d pass on this one.

After playing with the Jones Road Beauty products for a few weeks, I am very pleasantly surprised. I love the direction of the brand, and I love the name. The foundation is a special product, and I hope they come out with a few more neutral shades and one light enough to works for me. I am really looking forward to seeing what Jones Road comes out with in the future and trying more of their products.
