Unfortunately, I can’t always look at the ‘Just Arrived’ page on Sephora.com, add the products to my shopping bag, and checkout without any thought and consideration–and budget planning. And this week, it’s taken a lot of willpower to only window shop…nothing else. I decided to do something a little different this week and create a list of the new products that peaked my interest to share with you.
I’ll probably purchase them eventually, but for now, these are the products I’m currently lusting over at Sephora.
Bare Minerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipstick- Matte liquid lipstick are still all the rage, and every brand is jumping on board. Bare Minerals just released their nude liquid lipstick line, and I’m dying to try them–specifically the color shown above, ‘Swag,’ which is described as a ‘blushing mauve.’ I have yet to see this in person, but looking online, I feel it’s a color I’d like. This will come in 19 other shades, for a total of 20 colors.
In general, I’m a bit picky about the formulas of liquid lipsticks, but one of my favorites is the cream lip stains from Sephora’s house brand. This is marketed as a cream to matte product that’s moisturizing, long-lasting, and full-coverage. The fact is starts as a cream makes me feel it may be reminiscent of the Sephora brand alternative, which intrigues me.
Dior Fix It 2-in-1 Prime and Color Correct Sticks– While I don’t mess with the wild clown contouring and the likes or use them every day, I do use a few color correcting products from time to time. My intrigue for this product is half the color correction and half the packaging. Dior products are always sleek and appealing. I can’t help it! I’ve also never used any face products from Dior, so I’d like to.
This product comes in four shades:
Yellow- to neutralize purple
Apricot- to neutralize blue
Green- to neutralize redness
Blue- to neutralize any sallowness
Cover FX Color Enhancing Drops- I have seen these all of YouTube recently, and I have fallen in love with every swatch. These literally look like liquid metal on your skin. I love glow. I pile on the highlight, especially in the summer. These pigment drops are metallic highlight and bronzer shades that can be applied on top or beneath foundation or mixed in with foundations and other face products.
There are 6 shades, three true highlight shades and three bronzer shades. I specifically have my eye on ‘Candlelight,’ ‘Sunlight,’ and ‘Moonlight.’
Neogen Dermalogy Bio Peel Guaze- Peeling Lemon- I have taken a strong and sudden interest in skincare and have found my skin loves exfoliating pads. I’ve used some from Sanitas as well as First Aid Beauty, and my skin reacts very well to them. I get little bumps around my chin–not really pimples. They never break the surface, but it’s more like added texture. Using radiance pads, and they’re usually called, seems to be helping.
I’m interested in these from Neogen, because 1. if it’s Korean skincare, I’m probably going to trust it, and 2. lemon in skincare is generally associated with brightening, and my skin has been a bit lackluster.
Giorgio Armani Eye Tint– I usually don’t go for cream eye shadows like this, but the color (#3 Jade, above) is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I don’t have a lot to say about this, because I’ve never used anything from the Giorgio Armani brand, so I’m solely going off of the picture on this one. It does say it’s long-lasting and comes in 18 colors.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush Soft Glow Duo– These are supposed to be blush duos (obviously) that allow you to customize the color you use. You can use one color or the other or mix the two together. Personally, I feel that’d be really difficult since they are broken up into a sequence in the packaging, but I do like the duo shown above (#504 Kink & Kisses) and think they’d be a pretty peachy/rose color mixed together. There are also four other duos, making a total of five.
I’ve tried a few lipsticks, eye shadow palettes, and liners from Marc Jacobs Beauty and love them. I imagine the quality of this would be on par with the other products I’ve tried.
None of these products are particularly inexpensive, which is the main reason this is a lust list and not a haul. However, if you are able to purchase any of these items, Sephora is currently running a 4% cashback offer if you shop through Ebates. And as always, if you do pick anything up from this list, let me know how you like it, and feel free to comment with anything you are currently lusting over.
