Long time, no talk, guys. Hi! I’m not going to be delving into where I have been lately, because I’m hoping to post a few blogs about some of that in the coming weeks/months. So today, we’re just going to jump right into the beauty with my March 2022 Allure Beauty Box Unboxing!
As I type this, we’re still reveling in this morning’s full moon, a new lunar year beginning, and spring just around the corner. I can feel it. It’s potent. And part of that energy has been pushing me to be excited about beauty and makeup again, something I haven’t been as enthusiastic about lately. I’ve been tired. And coincidentally, this month’s box is full of zippy, caffeinated products to add to your beauty routine.
If you’d like to sign up for the Allure Beauty Box, feel free to use my referral code here. If not, that’s ok. Google it. It’s $23 for 6+ beauty products, at least 3 full size products, and a value of at least $100 delivered right to your door every month. New members will receive a welcome gift in their first box.

Blinc Ultravolume Tubing Mascara*: I love a good tubing mascara, so I’m excited to give this one a go. If you aren’t familiar with tubing mascaras, the way they work is tiny polymers wrap around the lash and serve as a kind of temporary lash extension. The reason they’re so great is they’re typically flake and smudge free. You remove them with warm water and gently rubbing at the lashes.
This one* from Blinc is supposed to be ultra black and volumizing. That sounds good to me! (Full size in box: $26)
Tula Signature Glow Refreshing & Brightening Face Mist*^: I’m constantly refreshing my face throughout the day to revive makeup and make my skin feel alive, so I’m always excited to see a new one to try. This one from Tula is great because it contains hydrating and brightening ingredients. It leaves your skin looking radiant without disturbing any makeup beneath. In fact, I find a good face mist can revive a dull complexing or creased makeup throughout the day!
The only downside to this mist* is that is very fragranced. It smells really good, like candy. But it’s something to note if you’re sensitive to that. (Full size in box: $34)
^You will receive either Tula mist* or Alpha H Liquid Gold*.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser*: You really can’t go wrong with a super gentle cleanser. I love this one from Cetaphil, and it’s actually the cleanser I keep in my travel skincare bag. It dissolves dirt, oil, and cleanses the skin without leaving it feeling stripped. (Box Value: $3)
Origins Ginzing Oil-Free Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer*^: My character tagline would be: Give me the caffeine – even in my moisturizer. Packed with caffeine and herbal ginzing, Origins gives us a buzzy moisturizer to help decrease puffiness, our skin look less dull, and help protect from environmental damage. And the gel texture is light, layers well under sunscreen, and is moisturizing enough you don’t need to use other rich creams with it. (Box Value: $3)
^You will receive either Origins Ginzing Moisturizer* or Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream*
BeYou Caffeine Eye Cream*^: I also love caffeine in my eye creams. I am usually a little puffy in the morning (guilty of late night salty snacking.) Other caffeinated eye creams I’ve used depuff and wake up my undereyes and makes the area feel firmer and more hydrated. So I’m excited to try this one! (Full size in box: $25)
^You will receive either BeYou Caffeine Eye Cream*, AHC Essential Real Eye Cream for Face*, or Eyeko Double Act Shadow Stick in Dusk/Dawn*.
Shani Darden Retinol Reform*: Your girl is pushing 30, and while a strict sunscreen and eye cream regime has done me wonders up until this point, I am noticing some lines and other skin concerns more frequently lately than before. The recommended fix typically is just “retinol.” But that’s so broad, not to mention a little intimidating.
But this one formulated by celebrity facialist Shani Darden is a crowd pleaser. It’s a rare retinol formula that is effective while being gentle on the skin. The jellied serum boosts its star ingredient with line smoothing alpha hydroxy acids cushioned in a soothing, hydrating mix of aloe vera, glycerin, and rosemary leaf extract. (Box Value: $30)

Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo*^: If there’s anything I love, it’s creating a spa-like bathroom moment. And a pampering scalp treatment feeds into the vibe. Not only does this shampoo smell like mint, it’s hydrates while also gently exfoliates any product buildup, dead skin, or flakes. And it makes my hair feel clean.
Best practice is to massage onto your scalp for about a minute and rinse. Follow with your usual conditioner or hair mask. (Box value: $5)
Box Total: $126(ish)
I’ve been a little disinterested in my Allure Beauty Boxes lately. Not because of the service or anything; I just have been focused more on some other things happening in my life, and new beauty just hasn’t made the cut for top priority. But I’m actually really excited about this month’s box!
I have been eyeing that mascara for a while (I love a good tubing formula.) The retinol serum will be finding a place in my bathroom for testing. And while there a few products I’ve used in the past, they were products I know I like and will use up again.
