Spring is all about renewal and growth. And when it comes to makeup, it starts to say bright and pastel. I’m not going to lie, I was a little disappointed when I opened this month’s Allure Beauty Box. I wanted a pretty pastel eye product or a punchy cheek color. But beggars can’t be choosers, you know? We did get a lot of good products to look forward to, however. From a radiance boosting (expensive af) booster serum to a ruby red lip product to a luscious hand cream, there’s plenty to be excited about. What else is inside of the March Allure Beauty Box? I guess you’ll have to scroll down to find out. (;

Pixi Lip Glow Tinted Lip Balm in Ruby*: So if you caught my February Allure Beauty Box Review, you’ll know I wasn’t a huge fan of the tinted lip balm we got in that box. It was hydrating enough, but there was no color pay off on the lip. This tinted lip balm from Pixi seems to be a little stiffer and, in turn, more pigmented. It feels hydrating on my hand, and I love the ruby red shade. I think it’ll be a pretty complexion boost for spring. I’ve used quite a bit of skincare from Pixi, but I’m not incredibly familiar with their makeup selection. So I am pretty interested to test this out. As always, I will report back next month to see how the formula holds up for me. (Full size in box, $14*)
Eyeko Double Act Shadow Stick in Dusk/Dawn*: I love a good shadow stick. But the type I tend to gravitate to are creamy, like the Nudestix sticks. This double ended shadow stick is definitely a little on the stiffer side, which would make it great for liner. I’m not so sure how it’ll blend out as a shadow all over the lid. But we will test and see.
The colors are nice, though. On one side is the shade Dawn, a shimmery bronze. And on the other side is Dusk, a matte, chocolate brown. I think the pair will make for a really pretty smoky eye. But again, we’ll have to see how the formula actually works on the eye! Allure also included an Eyeko branded pencil sharpener as well. (Full size in box, $25)

111 Skin Vitamin C Brightening Booster*: This is the hot ticket item in the March Allure Beauty Box. Attached to a $155 price tag, this boosting serum is packed full of Vitamin C to help treat signs of damage like fine lines and dark spots. It also is an antioxidant that protects skin from environmental stressors. They included an info sheet about boosters, and it looks like this can be used alone as kind of a serum, combined with a serum, or combined with a moisturizer.
My skin loves Vitamin C, and I’ve tried a ton of Vitamin C serums. I’ve noticed a lot of them are sticky and smelly and orange. This one is very intriguing to me as it’s crystal clear, doesn’t have a discernible scent, and feels smooth on the skin. Definitely will incorporate this in my routine (as soon as I get this breakout under control) and will report back. (Full size in box, $155*)
B. Glen Clay Wash*: I have a handful of cleansers I love, but I’m always on the hunt for a new one. This clay cleanser from B.Glen is really intriguing to me. I love the idea of a clay cleanser product.
Clay is great for absorbing oils and helping to remove dirt, sebum, and all of the other ickies on your skin. But they can be drying. And me and my dry skin tend to steer far away form anything clay. However, this cleanser touts that it’s gentle and suitable for even dry and sensitive skin, so we will see about that. (Full size, $44, Box value, $5*)
Mudmasky Serum Infused Eye Mask: I have been dealing with some puffy under eyes lately — lots of crying, lots of potato chips, little sleep. It just is what it is. So this eye mask is intriguing, and just in time. It’s formulated with gogi berry extract, which is such a good antioxidant product, and matcha tea, which is going to help with de-puffing.
I used this on the back of my hand, just to get an idea of texture and smell and feeling. It’s very thin and runny, like a watery serum. I also squeezed out a ton of product on accident, so be careful (lol.) On the back of my hand, after 8 minutes, my skin felt so incredibly soft and smooth. Like crazy soft. It has a light tea scent, but is natural. There isn’t any artificial fragrance in this one, which is nice for an eye product. I’m really looking forward to using this throughout the next month. (Full size in box, $56)
AHAVA Dead Sea Water Mineral Hand Cream*: Honestly, this is the product I am most excited for in this box.
I am a freak about applying hand cream. Not only is taking care of the skin on my hands important in the aging process, but I also just have incredibly dry skin. And with washing my hands all the time since Covid reared its ugly head, my hands are even more dry these days. I’ve used Ahava body lotion before, and I really love it. It smells like a spa and is incredibly hydrating. So I’m very excited to have this hand cream on … hand. (Full size, $24 ; Box value, $8*)

And that’s the March Allure Beauty Box unboxed and assessed. What do you guys think of this month’s box? I’m particularly excited for the Vitamin C serum, the eye mask, and the lip balm. Well, I’m also excited about the hand cream and cleanser. Make sure you stop back in a month for a review of each item in this month’s box and an unboxing for next month.
