I’ve decided recently I want to start doing monthly beauty favorites posts where I let you in on everything I’ve been loving in a given month (or couple of months). For the past few weeks I’ve been trying a few new beauty items, but I’ve also been shopping my stash a bit and rediscovering old favorites.
So let’s jump into my March beauty favorites!
1 | fenty beauty gloss bomb in fenty glow
Fenty is one of the brands I wanted to try in 2019, so one day at Sephora I picked up a little set of a lip gloss and highlighter. The lipgloss is so. good. It’s not sticky or heavy but it gives your lips a wash of shimmery color. I have Fenty Glow, and I feel it’d be a great color for any skin tone. It’s a good my lips but better and glossy color, but on deeper skin tones, I think it’d add such a beautiful shine to the lips.
I definitely think I’ll be purchasing a full size when I use this sample up, which may be soon.
2 | Colourpop fast lane liner
Ok, get ready for a ton of Colourpop. #notsponsored. A few weeks ago, I was intrigued by colored eyeliners, so I purchased Fast Lane (a forest green) and Best O (a warm aubergine). I’ve been using Fast Lane so much in March!
Colourpop’s eye liners aren’t strangers to my collection, so I already knew I liked the formula. Are they the best eyeliners I’ve ever used? No. But they do what I need them to, are very inexpensive, and have interesting colors.
The way I’ve been using this most often is along my tight line — when I’m wearing a lot of eye makeup or not. One of my favorite ways to make my lashes look full is by applying a dark liner to my tight line, but instead of black or brown I’ve been using this. This particular shade my eyes POP!
3 | Colourpop lippie stick in taurus
This is an oldie but a goodie, ya’ll. I don’t know if it’s because I’m constantly rewatching Friends and Charmed, but I’m into ’90s beauty looks, and this brown lipstick from Colourpop is perfection.
Taurus is one of the lippie stix that Kathleen Lights collaborated on, and this is my second one. It’s a matte mid toned yellowish brown. It’s not too dark, it’s not too pink, it’s not purple. It’s just a great warm brown that I find to be extremely wearable.
I’m not a huge fan of matte lipsticks these days, but I still enjoy the matte lippie stix from Colourpop. This formula isn’t too drying on the lips but has a matte finish. And it lasts all day long.
Colourpop, don’t ever discontinue this. Or send me 37 if you do.
4 | colourpop guilty pleasure super shock highlighter
If you haven’t tried the Super Shock Highlighters from Colourpop , I really think you should. They’re some of my favorites because they feel like a cream but dry down like a powder and blends into the skin in a way that isn’t natural…but seamless. They’re very pretty.
When I got Guilty Pleasure initially, I didn’t think I was going to like it. It’s described as an icy peach with gold sheen, and when I swatched it on my hand, I thought it was just going to look weird on my skin because I’m so fair. But I’ve really been loving this as a cheek highlight. I apply a little with a damp beauty sponge, and I find it doesn’t look too dark on my skin. I also like using this on my eye lid on light makeup days. It instantly brightens the eye!
5 | wanderlust rhea necklace
For someone who never wins things, I was excited when I won an Instagram giveaway with Julep and Wanderlust. Wanderlust was kind enough to gift the Rehea necklace and matching earrings. I like the earrings a lot, but I am LOVING this necklace. The quality is amazing, and though delicate, I find it makes just enough of a statement to be interesting.
One of my favorite ways to wear it is with an oversized sweater or basic tee. It takes a basic outfit and makes it look like one of those cool without trying outfits.
6 | makeup revolution fast base concealer
I bought this on a whim a few months ago but never really used it until recently. This concealer is great! Since I typically wear a light coverage foundation, I wanted to find a lighter coverage concealer. When you wear a heavy coverage concealer under your eyes but not the rest of your face, things look kind of weird.
This Fast Base concealer is a highlighting concealer pen situation. It’s one of those products with a sponge applicator, which I don’t love but don’t mind. It reminds me a lot of the Touche Eclat Brightening Pen from YSL but with more coverage. The YSL pen give you a pretty highlight to the areas you apply it but doesn’t offer much coverage of any kind; however, the Fast Base concealer brightens my under eye while giving me a little bit of coverage. The result is my under eyes look bright and smooth, and I can also cover minor blemishes with it. I love a good multi-tasker.
7 | bareminerals complexion rescue foundation stick
If you caught my review of the Bare Minerals foundation stick, you’ll know I really enjoyed it. And I’ve been using it almost every day since. It’s just so easy to apply and feels so hydrating on the skin. I won’t blab too much about it, but you can read the review here.

There you have it, my March beauty favorites! I want to do this every month if I have enough new to talk about; however, I’ll at least be doing quarterly favorites.
