I admittedly change my skincare routine more often that I probably should. I love finding and trying new products that are good for my skin. My skin used to lean combination/oily, but recently it’s been a little on the dry side. Really, it’s been on the dehydrated side of the spectrum. So I’ve had to do some skincare swaps.
Since my skin has been looking pretty good, I wanted to do an update on my current morning skincare routine. Keep reading for the products I’m loving, and the order in which I apply them.
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser
I have a rotation of 4 cleansers I love, and this has been winning the focus recently. The Soy Face Cleanser from Fresh is amazing for removing dirt and makeup (even my eye makeup) as well as cleansing the skin without stripping it of moisture. The high quality ingredients leave skin moisturized, clean, and fresh. Soy supports natural elasticity. Rosewater is calming and balancing. Cucumber extract soothes and nourishes.
I like this in the morning because it preps my skin for the day without giving me that squeaky clean feeling, you know?
Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner
After I cleanse, I use a toner to get my skin ready for the remaining skincare products. I have been obsessed with the Rose Deep Hydrating Toner from Fresh. Not only does it look amazingly beautiful on the bathroom sink with the loose rose petals, it’s free of alcohol and packed with moisturizing ingredients.
Rose petals, rose water, and rose flower oils soothe and nourish the skin, while Angelic leaf extract and hylauronic acid retain moisture. All work together to further remove impurities from the skin as well as smooth and hydrate the skin.
L’ancome Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Serum
I was recently sent a box of Lancome makeup and skincare products to try courtesy of Lancome and Influenster. I immediately began using the serum, and I fell in love.
If you aren’t familiar with serums, they are concentrated ingredients that soak deeper into the skin for more powerful effects. I use serums after toner and before any oils or moisturizers. This anti-aging serum from Lancome claims the main results stem from Bifidus extract, which helps strengthen and protect the skin’s moisture barrier and enhance radiance and skin tone.
One of my favorite features of this product is in it’s packaging. It has a self-loading dropper so you are deposited the perfect amount every time.
Julep So Awake De-puffing Eye Gel
I discover most of my Julep products thank to the Maven subscription box, and I was intrigued when I received this eye gel. It’s lightweight, so it’s great to use in the AM under makeup. The caffeine and micro-pearls also work to perk up tired eyes and add a brightness that your girl needs in the morning, 100%. I love this stuff.
Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil
I can’t go on with my day without using a beauty oil. The one I’ve been liking in the morning has been the Blue Orchid Face Treatment from Clarins. It’s made from 100% plant extracts and essential oils, so I can feel comfortable that I’m putting ingredients on my face that won’t be irritating. A few drops, and your skin is left hydrated, soft, and radiant.
It doesn’t pill beneath makeup either, which makes this perfect for the mornings. This is one I’d recommend for oily skin, as well.
Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich
I finish off my morning skincare regimen with a luxurious face cream from Glossier. Honestly, I’ve been bouncing between this Glossier moisturizer and another from Lancome, but I’ve been reaching for this one more often.
This is thick enough to use at night, but I like to wear it in the morning. I think it wears nicely under makeup. It’s rich in ceramides and fatty acids, which reinforce the skin’s moisture barrier and lock in moisture all day. Anti-redness complex and an oxygenating agent serve as the priming ingredients, which help your skin serve as a smooth canvas for makeup.
What are your favorite skincare products in your morning routine? Like I said, I’m a skincare junkie, so I’d love to get new product recommendations (;
