I started doing these Natasha Denona palette alternatives posts a few years ago, mainly, as a way to talk myself out of buying them. Because chances are, I already have similar shades to what I’d gravitate to or could find something a little less expensive. But now I think it’s just fun. So today we’re looking at 8 Natasha Denona Yucca palette alternatives!
Disclaimer: These are alternative options, not necessarily inexpensive options.
the Natasha Denona Yucca palette
I haven’t been in the market for new eyeshadow palettes. In fact, I’ve been working on a massive makeup declutter. However, I saw the new Yucca palette* from Natasha Denona and it is seriously being considered.
Inspired by a trip to the Maldives and the yucca plant, this palette is full of warm browns and gold, firey oranges, and jungle greens. And I want them on my eyes.
The Natasha Denona Yucca palette* contains a blend of 15 matte, cream powder, metallic, and foiled shadows and retails for $69.
Natasha Denona Yucca Palette Alternatives
No. 1: Juvia’s Place The Nomad*
Juvia’s Place shadows are intensely pigmented and nuanced in tone, which makes them comparable to Natasha Denona shadows, in my opinion.
The Nomad* palette is a mix of warm mustard, orange, brown, and green tones. This palette also includes a deep matte black and an ivory shade which will both aid in creating different depths in an eye look. And the darker shimmer shade is the closest I could find to that in the Yucca palette.
I think you’ll be able to create a lot of very similar looks from The Nomad* palette, but at a fraction of the cost.
No. 2: elf Bite Sized palette in ‘Hot Jalepeno’*
When I first started thinking about this post, this Bite Sized palette in ‘Hot Jalepeno‘* from elf came to mind.
It’s obviously a lot smaller than the Natasha Denona Yucca palette, with only 4 shades. And the shades aren’t even exact matches to shades in the inspiration palette. However, I think it’s a good option if you’re intrigued by the Yucca palette.
Color-wise: You’re going to get two mattes, an olive green and a deep blue/green situation. You’ll also get two metallics, a bright yellow gold and a bright chartreuse (my fave!) The formula in these bite sized palettes are really good – the shimmers and metallics are incredible. And it’s only $3!
No. 3: Melt Cosmetics Gemini #1*
Melt always makes an appearance in these alternatives posts, because they tend to use nuanced, grungy shades.
If you gravitate to the browns and oranges in the Yucca palette and also want a pop of that green, I think the Gemini #1* palette might interest you.
You’re missing some of those punchy gold shades, but you’ve got all of your warm browns, firey oranges, and a couple of olive greens.
No. 4: Melt Cosmetics Four Twenty*
And if you’re intrigued by the color story from the Yucca palette but prefer mattes and brighter shades, the Four Twenty* palette is right up your alley.
It’s comprised of jungle greens, chartreuse, oranges, warm browns and will give you a little more punch than the Yucca palette.
No. 5: Colourpop Fresh Greens*
If the Yucca palette has you seeing green, the Colourpop Fresh Greens* palette might be a nice option.
So many of us have browns and golds in our collection in excess. While this palette doesn’t contain any of those shades, it does contain a variety of matte and shimmery greens.
The tones are a bit earthier than in the Yucca palette, but they’re also a little easier to work with. If you’re someone who wants a no fuss shadow, look into this palette.
No. 6: Natasha Denona Mini Bronze*
The trap I fall into is being mesmerized by an overall color story but forgetting that I’m only going to be use a few shades on my eyes at a time.
I also fall into the trap of forgetting the colors I actually wear, not the only I think I might wear. If you’re like me, the Mini Bronze* palette from Natasha Denona might be for you instead.
Do you love those greens but know you only wear browns on a daily basis? Maybe shift your focus away from them and focus on the warm bronze tones instead.
This mini palette has 5 warm rusty shades that will give you similar vibes to looks with similar colors in the Yucca palette.
No. 7: Makeup Revolution Crystal Aura Aventurine Forever Flawless*
At first glance, this Makeup Revolution* palette might not look even remotely similar. But if you cover up those turquoise and lime green shades, you get a pretty warm palette with browns, oranges, and greens.
This is a great option if you’re looking for a palette with a little more (bright) versatility than the Yucca palette.
You’ll still be able to achieve rich and warm looks with golds, browns, oranges, and earthy greens. But you’ll also be able to incorporate punchier blues and greens as well.
No. 8: Urban Decay Naked Wild West*
If you’ve read my previous Natasha Denona alternatives posts, this might be familiar. The Urban Decay Naked Wild West* palette made a cameo in my Gold Palette alternatives post.
“But Jacqie, this palette is totally different than that one!” It is. Kind of. Swap out the greens for blues and neutralize the browns a bit, and then it becomes similar.
If you already have the Wild West* palette, I don’t think the Yucca is necessary.
You also might like this one better if you prefer blue tones over green tones.
What do you think of these Natasha Denona Yucca palette alternatives? Are there others you think are similar?
And what do you think of the actual Yucca palette itself? I love the color story, and am really trying to talk myself out of buying it!
As always, thanks for stopping by, and I’ll talk to you soon!
x,
Jacqie
