Spring has sprung, and while for most people that means flowers blooming and breezy weather, the beauty lovers are anticipating yet another beauty sale. That’s right, folks, it’s time for the spring Sephora VIB sale!
I still recommend products from previous posts that you can refer to here, here, and here.
I do these recommendation posts often, but I tend to talk about the same products over and over again–because I love them. I want to recommend products I love and actually enjoy but don’t want to bore you with the products you already know I love. So this time around, I’m going to talk about a few products (actually quite a few) I’m either using now or have used in the past that I’m not talking about for one reason or another.
So what do I recommend for the 2019 spring Sephora VIB sale event? Keep reading to find out.
the basics
Let’s get the basics of the sale out of the way:
- For ROUGE: 4/26-5/6 – use code HEYROUGE for 20%
- For VIB: 5/2-5/6 – for 15% off use code HEYVIB
- For INSIDER: 5/2-5/6 – for 10% use code HEYINSIDER

Perricone MD No Makeup Concealer
Perricone MD is a brand I love but don’t talk about often, and honestly I don’t hear a lot of other people talk about it either. It’s really expensive, but I think the products are extremely high quality. And because of the hefty price tag, the VIB sale is a great opportunity to give it a shot.
As you may know, I’ve been on the hunt for a light coverage concealer to wear on no makeup days, and this is it! I’m obsessed. It comes in 5 shades, which seems small, but remember, it’s a sheer coverage product. And the range actually seems pretty good.
It’s lightweight and gives a very natural kind of coverage with a natural type of finish that’s flattering on the bare skin or over makeup. It also has a bit of SPF in it, so it gives an extra layer of sun defense to the delicate under eye area.
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist
I’m so sorry I’m recommending such expensive things, but this is so good. It’s not a setting spray, so don’t buy this anticipating it’ll make your makeup last a long time. It won’t do that. It’s a finishing spray, and when applied after makeup application, your skin looks so dewy and glowy and flawless.
One of the reasons I love this is simply because it’s a luxury experience to use it. The mist feels fantastic, the product looks fantastic. I also like to spritz this onto a beauty sponge and apply concealer from time to time.
Bobbi Brown Bronzer
While I’m currently craving glowy bronzers, this one from Bobbi Brown is my favorite. The colors work well on my skin, and while matte, it never looks muddy on my skin. It blends out seamlessly and looks very natural. It also lasts all dang day.
I, of course, use this on my cheeks and forehead, on my nose, but I also love using this on my eyes–either through my crease or all over the lid. One of my favorite quick makeup hacks is taking your bronzer and dusting it all over the lid for a monochromatic, no thought kind of eye look.
BareMinerals Gen Nude Liquid Lipstick
I’ve definitely fallen off the matte liquid lip train and opted for anything with a satin texture and high shine finish, but the Gen Nude collection still stand as my favorite liquid lipsticks. They are so lightweight and non-drying on the lips, and the shades are just beautiful. Every single one. My current favorite for spring is Swag, a pretty pinky brown but more pink? You’ll always find one of these stashed in my bag.
YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick
Another of my holy grail lipsticks are from YSL. Not only does the packaging make you feel hella sophisticated, the product is incredible. These lipsticks come in two finishes: satin and matte and are incredibly pigmented. Not only do you get a rich color payoff, they’re also incredibly hydrating on the lips.
They don’t last all day, and I definitely reapply through the day, but they wear off evenly and reapply beautifully. You don’t get any of that weird off-colored layering that happens with dryer lipsticks. My #1 shade is #70 Le Nu, a basic nude that is essentially the same color as my lips. It’s the prettiest pinky nude you ever did see.

First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer
When brainstorming products I wanted to recommend for this Sephora VIB sale, I immediately jotted down this priming moisturizer from First Aid Beauty. It’s my #1 favorite illuminating moisturizer type of product.
What I love about this particular product is it’s a 3-in-1 situation–it is heavy enough to wear a moisturizer alone, acts as an illuminating highlighter, and serves as a tacky priming base that keeps makeup in place. It wear extremely well under makeup, but it also look beautiful alone. I’ll apply this when I don’t want to wear any makeup, but I also don’t want my skin to look dull.
Jade Roller
Truthfully, I didn’t get my jade roller at Sephora, but they have different options.
We all know how much I love a jade roller. I struggle with TMD, and I’m constantly holding tension in my jaw, so using this is a bit like a massage on that area to relieve some of that tension. I also enjoy using it under the eyes for depuffing, and it’s generally just good for circulation.
I’ve got a whole post on jade rolling, how to do it, and the benefits that I’ll leave here for you to check out.

Moroccanoil Treatment
This is a product I’ve been using for years but for some reason don’t talk about at all. My hair loves oils, and this is one of the fan favorites. It firstly smells AMAZING. And secondly works wonders for conditioning/detangling, dealing with fly aways, adding shine, etc.
My favorite way to use this is by running a bit through the ends of my towel dried hair. But I also use this on dry hair, especially when I haven’t washed in a bit. Because I use texturizing products, my hair can get a bit dull looking and this adds the moisture and shine back to it.
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3
Wow have I been on a hair journey, and wow have I fallen in love with this product. This product from Olaplex is mistaken as a conditioner, but it is a treatment. You want to apply a pretty generous amount on your hair, from scalp to ends and leave it on for about 10 minutes (or longer if you want). Then you’ll rinse and then go on with shampoo/conditioner.
Guys, this little bugger is expensive but effective. I’ve noticed my hair is so much stronger than it was previously and breaking less often. I have a fuller in depth review here.

Sephora Collection PRO Flawless Airbrush #56/#56.5
I have a few brushes to recommend, technically 4 but 2 are the mini version of the other 2. If you followed that, I love you. But I want to kick it off with the #56 brush from the Sephora Pro line.
Initially I got this to use for foundation, and I love it for that. But I’ve grown to like the mini brush for concealer application!
Sephora Collection PRO Airbrush #55/#55.5
Again, the #55 brush was initially a foundation brush for me, and it’s great. It leaves you base looking flawless and airbrushed … which is good because it’s quite literally the name of the name of the brush. I’ve started using this for powder and bronzer recently and *heart eyes*. I also use the mini for highlight, concealer, etc. They are work for pretty much anything!
Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner
I deep clean my brushes and sponges with the cleanser from Beauty Blender, but I always have a bottle of this on hand. It is the best for a quick color switch, or if you only have a handful of brushes and use them for multiple color products.
Dip your brush into a little of this and swirl it onto a paper towel/towel/tissue/etc., and the product will come right off. And because it dries so quickly, there is no wait time before you can use the brush again.
Chloe Eau de Parfum
I’m 100% rubbish at describing perfume, so I’m just going to say this. It’s delicate but sexy, and is my signature scent. I wrote a post about it here.
