I contemplated posting anything regarding the SEPHORA VIB Sale with everything that’s going on right now. Because honestly, the last thing any of us really need to be doing is spending unnecessary money on things we probably don’t need. But ultimately, I decided to round up a few recommendations for a few reasons.
One –– Sometimes frivolous distractions are good for us. So, for me, talking about makeup is one of those distractions.
Two — These are products I recommend any time of the year, and products I’d pay full price for. The sale is just a bonus. So if you’re not in a position to make any kind of a purchase right now, but are looking for some new products to try later, this is still a good list.

my SEPHORA VIB sale recommendations
A lot of times, my recommendations for this sale are random. Things I enjoy, but it’s just a list of things I threw together. This time around, I’ve curated a few products I’m loving for this time at home. A lot of them are easy, feel good products that make me feel a little more luxurious while I’m at my computer in my underwear.

Patrick Ta Blushes*: Firstly, the packaging on these blushes is gorgeous. But aside from good packaging, I love the product. The powder is really soft and buttery, but not so soft it’s chalky or breaks apart in the pan – you know what I’m talking about, those powders that get all dusty when you put your brush into them.
These are blend beautifully into an almost second-skin finish. And they have the slightest bit of glow, not glitter or shimmer but a natural glow. The formulation is sheer, so if you want something very light and natural, you’ll like these. But they also can be built up to a more opaque color as well.
My favorites: She’s Seductive (mauve plum)* + She’s Sincere (soft peach)*
bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Stick Foundation:* I haven’t been wearing a full face of makeup everyday while at home, but I have been some days. And anytime I have worn a complexion product, I’ve reached for the bareMinerals stick foundation.
It’s water-based formula is hydrating and covers any of the minor blemishes/redness I have. I’ve just been applying a few stripes to my face and blending it out with my fingers, making sure to pat some under my eyes in place of concealer. That’s it. I don’t even set it, and I find it settles to look like skin.
My shade – Opal 01
No Mirror Required Lip Balm: Admittedly I’m snacking more through the day than usual, and I haven’t wanted to mess with bold lips. So I’ve been reaching for glossy, balmy, no mirror required products instead.
My two go-tos lately are the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine balms* and the Sephora Collection Melting Lip Clicks*. I love them for the same reasons. They’re lightweight, hydrating, no fuss, glossy, and add a hint of color to my lips. The Sephora Lip Clicks are definitely glossier in a Vaseliney type of way; they’re thinner. But the YSL balms offer more color pay off.
Standout Shades: YSL Coral Aviator (deep coral)*, YSL Rose Nu (true rose)*, Sephora Blackberry (deep berry)*, and Sephora Creme Brulee (deep nude)*.

Skin Mists: A lot of people disregard skin mists, and I get it. But I love them, and my love is only strengthening right now. I love to spritz my face throughout the day when I feel my skin needs a little pick me up.
My two favorites I’d recommend are the Caudalie Beauty Elixir* and the Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist*. The Caudalie mist is one I use for overall radiance. I attest to the claims about staying power or refining pores, but it does make my skin feel fresh and hydrated. However, it has a very strong, herbal scent that I know a lot of people complain about.
If you’re looking for something that does a little more than feel refreshing, I’d suggest the Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist. It also feels incredibly hydrating on the skin, but it also adds a beautiful dewy glow to your skin. I like this for when my skin is feeling a little lackluster, but I don’t want to wear any makeup.
Farmacy Honey Savior All-in-One Skin Repair Salve*: In WV, it’s gone from hot to cold and we’ve switched the heat on and off. I don’t know about anyone else, but staying in the house in controlled temperature has left my skin feeling really dry.
Something I’ve been reaching for is the honey salve from Farmacy. I love this stuff. It’s an anti-oxidant rich, multi-purpose balm that is seriously hydrating. I don’t like to use this on my face unless I have dry patches or pat it on as a highlight situation. But I do use it on psoriasis on both my neck and elbows, my lips, hands, and cuticles.
The Makeup Eraser*: I’ve talked about this little magic cloth before on the blog and how much I love it. Even when I’m not wearing makeup, I’ve enjoyed using this to make sure I get all of the ick off my face before bed.

Ouai Scalp + Body Scrub*: I got a sample of this in a past Allure Beauty Box, and fell in love. I don’t use it as scalp scrub; I prefer to use scalp brushes for scalp exfoliation. But as a body scrub? Swoon.
It smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth and moisturized.
Replica Memory Box*: It doesn’t take a work from home order for me to try to make my home feel cozy, but I have been breaking out some of my favorite fragrances. The Replica scents have been my go-tos lately. The scents are themed after feelings and situations that elicit emotion, like a beach walk, a fireside, a lazy Sunday morning.
But these types of scents can be polarizing; you love them or you don’t. And I love that Replica has a memory box of 10 of their best scents. You can choose your favorites and go from there.
My favorite scents from Replica: By The Fireplace*, Lazy Sunday Morning*, At the Barber’s*, and Jazz Club*.
Kiehl’s Creme de Corps body lotion*: Another body product I love for it’s ability to make me feel luxe is this body lotion from Kiehl’s. It’s pricey, so I don’t consistently repurchase this, but I do every so often. It’s a treat, and considering the stress and uncertainty of the current events, I think we could all use a treat.
I love how this lotion makes my skin feel, soft and supple. But it doesn’t feel heavy on my skin.

Bumble & Bumble Pret-a-Powder*: Do you think I’ve been washing my hair often while sitting at home? Heck no. I don’t even wash my hair usually. Thus, all of the dry shampoo I have sampled. And Bumble & Bumble makes some of my favorites. I love the Pret-a-Powder because it not only absorbs oil and makes my hair looks cleaner, it adds a ton of gritty texture.
If you’re not someone who loves that textured feeling, messy look, you might like the Invisible Dry Shampoo spray* instead. It’s a typical spray dry shampoo, and does a really good job at refreshing the hair without weighing it down.
Those are my current SEPHORA VIB Sale recommendations that are especially good for this time at home. I have included some of my past recommendations below as well:
But I strongly want to reiterate that you should not feel any kind of pressure to buy during the SEPHORA VIB Sale. Of course, if you have the disposable income to do so, by all means. Stock up on your favorites, repurchase empties, try something new. But don’t let a small sale make you go crazy. This sale comes along twice a year, and individual brands generally offer a 20%-30% sales periodically and offer discount codes if you sign up for emails. And if you want to gain a little cash back from your purchase, make sure you shop using Rakuten (Ebates). If you use my referral link, here, and spend $30, we both get $30.
Stay healthy, stay safe, and stay home (if you can).
