SEPHORA generally has two major sale events per year, one in the spring and one in the fall. And I believe this “Holiday Event” is the fall sale. Since they do two sales per year, I tend to do two recommendation posts per year. But sometimes that gets a little repetitive. So I try to put a unique spin on each recommendations post. For the spring sale, I offered up some of my coziest suggestions — since many of us were at the very beginning stages of shut down due to Covid and spending a lot more time at home. For this sale, I think I’m going to break it into two parts. 1) My SEPHORA VIB Sale Wishlist with all the goodies I’m eyeing for the sale. And 2) a holiday gift guide with gifts and sets that are even better with a discounted price tag.

Honestly, there’s so much makeup I’m interested in right now. But these are a few I am thinking about picking up in the sale.

Pat McGrath Mothership V Eye Shadow Palette*: I have been eyeing Pat McGrath palettes* for years! But they are quite pricey. However, I recently figured I’ve been wanting one so badly, and I’ve paid for a Natasha Denona palette before. And these shadows, to me, look so special. So now is the time! I decided on the Mothership V* because the colors just look amazing. They’re bronzy and crimson, and I’m all about those shades, especially in the fall.

Huda Beauty Haze Obsessions Palettes in Sand Haze* and Khaki Haze*: A few more palettes I’m eyeing are these new ones from Huda. I’ve been intrigued by some of Huda’s color stories, but these grungey fall tones are speaking to me right now. The Sand Haze* is full of mauve and purple shades and the Khaki Haze* palette leans more smokey with dark browns and gold colors that I think will make amazing one and done products.

Benefit Great Brow Basics Pencil + Gel Set*: I try not to buy a ton of holiday sets for myself, because it’s just not always worth it when you have a sizeable collection. But this one I’m definitely going to be getting. I just ran out of my Precisely My Brow pencil and my Gimme Brow gel. This set contains a full-size Gimme Brow*, full-size Goof Proof Brow Pencil*, and mini Precisely My Brow Pencil*. I’ve never used Goof Proof, but I like the shape from the photos. And it’s only $36, which is such a good deal for 2 full-size products!

ROEN Kiss My…Liquid Lip Balm*: I talked about this in my high end gloss post. I really want it and keep hearing great things about it. It’s supposed t be a liquid lip product that gives the shine of a gloss but the hydration of a balm. And I’m all about that right now. The shade I think I’d pick up first is Charlie*, a dusty rose. There are three shades — a pinky nude, dusty rose, and deep berry. If I like this formula, the other colors are really nice. I’ll probably get them too later.

Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer*: I’ve noticed my skin being excessively dry lately, so I wanted a new moisturizer to help with that. I also just ran out of moisturizer and have been using samples, so the sale came at a great time. This is new from Farmacy, and it instantly caught my eye. I love the Honey products from Farmacy. I’ve used the Honey Butter lip balm* and love it. The Honey Savior salve* is so nice to have on hand for dry hands, nails, and on any dry patches or irritated areas I may have. I also love the Honey Potion mask*. So this Honey Halo moisturizer* is really intriguing.

They describe it as an intense moisturizer that replenishes dry, distressed skin with lasting hydration to visibly plump and improve the look of fine lines. And that is exactly what I want from a moisturizer. It’s formulated with buckwheat honey with a blend of propolis and royal jelly — this is going to be a soothing humectant, fig fruit extract to restore moisture, and ceramides to restore the skin barrier. Sign me up.

Maison Margiela Replica’ Travel Sprays in Coffee Break* and By the Fireplace*: In my post about my fantasy SEPHORA cart, I mentioned picking up the By the Fireplace fragrance. While I love it in a candle*, I want to wear it on my skin a little more to make sure I love the bottled fragrance. So I think I’m going to pick up the travel spray to test. They also came out with a new Coffee Break* scent that I’m very intrigued by, so I may pick that in a travel size as well.

I love these ‘Replica’ scents, because they really manage to encapsulate the feeling certain settings give you. I can’t explain it. You have to sniff for yourself. By the Fireplace* is warm and spicy with notes of clove oil, chestnut accord, and vanilla accord. They describe it as a “warm and spicy fragrance that gives off the impression of comfort and sensuality…and evokes the comforting sensation of a crackling fireplace beside a frosted winter landscape.” And it does!

Coffee Break* is another warm and spicy scent (I have a type) with notes of coffee accord, lavender, and milk mousse accord. Its scent is described as being “inspired by the first sip of hot coffee…and evokes subtle aromas of warm coffee and milk mousse accord that blend with a sweetness of vanilla. The fragrance is blended atop light musk while fresh spearmint and lavender is revealed once on the skin for a long-lasting, fresh scent that is balanced by soft sweetness.” Yum!

I haven’t fully decided what I’m going to pick up with this little discount from the SEPHORA VIB Sale event, but these are a few things I’m considering.
