OK. So. Last year, there were a handful of releases I was extremely excited about, but there were a lot more than just had me feeling…meh. But brands have been killing it in 2019. I mean…there’s even something I have my eye on from Too Faced, and if you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll know that’s shocking!http://www.thelipsticknarratives.com/the-first-anti-haul-of-2019-anti-haul-5/
I’ve come up with a list of some new and upcoming launches that have me really tempted. I definitely don’t think I’ll be buying any of these any time soon, but never say never. Today’s anti haul is a spring anti haul of things I want but am not buying…right now.
this basic ass neutrals palette from natasha denona
In the past, I have hooted and hollered about not wanting to see another neutral palette, but to be real, I love a good neutral set up. And in my defense, I said I wanted to see something else…not that I wanted brands to stop making these neutral havens.
I. Want. This. So. Bad. I should probably tell you what it is. Natasha Denona released a new eye palette, Biba. Like her other 15-pan palettes, Biba retails for $129. Biba contains 15 new shades, and is part of her permanent collection.
What I really love about this is that I can foresee myself using it daily. I love that there is a mix of warm and cool neutrals, so I can mix and match if I want or create warm/cool looks on their own with one palette.
The only thing that keeps me from purchasing this is the price tag. And after purchasing the Safari palette, as much as I like it, I’m not convinced these are worth the hefty price tag. However, I’ll probably end up getting it eventually. But since it’s part of the permanent collection, I’m glad that I can wait a while before I do.
this jelly highlighter from…too faced!
Wow. Never thought I’d see the day Too Faced would be on a lust list. I don’t have anything against the brand, they just usually don’t have anything that really grabs me. But this You’re So Jelly highlighter made me do a double take.
I’ve been really into cream products recently, and I want to expand my non-powder highlight collection. I think this will make a great addition.
The You’re So Jelly jelly highlighters are part of the Tutti Fruity collection and cost $30. There are 3 shades: Bourbon Bronze which is a copper frost (want), Rose Pink which is a gilded rose, and Gilded Champagne which is a champagne frost (want). I guess they smell like fruit, but I don’t care about that.
the entire Disney villains collection from Colourpop
When Colourpop released their Disney Designer collection featuring some favorite princesses, I thought it was pretty but it didn’t really grip me. However, I’ve always related more to the villains, so I was really excited when I found out they were releasing a Disney Part 2 collab featuring some of the best villains.
This collection is stinking huge, and I actually want most of it. It features 6 wicked ones: Hades, Maleficent, Cruella, Dr. Facilier, Evil Queen, and Ursula. The packaging is this cool, dark, and neon situation that’s super cool. And there’s a ton in this launch. In addition to the eye shadow palette, each villain has their own set consisting of a Lux Lipstick, Super Shock Cheek, Ultra Glossy Lip, and Jelly Much shadow ($25), and I believe there are a few extra glitters and loose products.
I can’t say whether or not I’ll purchase anything, but I do want some of it. The palette is inspiring to me, and I love some of the lip products. However, I have some similar products in my collection already that are very similar to some of them. This is one I want but don’t know if I really need. But I guess we’ll see.
the bomb’s bomb packaging
The Balm is a brand I tend to like, but I don’t really own much from them. The packaging is always adorable, and I love the retro/license plate vibe they’ve got going on for their Auto Balm Collection.
The collection consists of 2 eye shadow palettes and one blush palette. The Day 2 Nite palette contains a black cream primer, 2 matte shadows, and 5 shimmer shadows. The Pic Perfect palette contains a neutral cream primer, 2 matte shades, and 5 shimmer shades. And the GRL PWDR palette contains 3 blushes and 1 highlighting shade. Each are priced at $26.50.
Immediately I was drawn to the eye shadow palettes. This is probably the only thing on the list I won’t end up buying at some point. The color stories are beautiful, and I’m sure the quality is ok. But I think I like these so much because they’re the colors I have throughout my house. They’re colors I love but not necessarily colors I wear in makeup.
The packaging is so cute, and I kind of want this. But I think I’m going to skip out on it.
YSL’s entire summer collection
Trend Mood released a sneak preview of YSL’s summer collection, and while there isn’t a whole of info yet, I want it.
It looks like there’s going to be an eye palette, 3 bronzers, 2 lip products, and 2 nail polishes. There could be more that we don’t know about yet.
The color situation appears to be very tropical with greens, nudes, and reds/oranges. AND I WANT IT ALL. Thank you, next.
these lip balms from laneige
I looove the Lip Sleeping Mask from Laneige, any variety. In fact, I have every flavor(?) and some extras. They’re all over my house, my boyfriend’s house, and somehow wiggled their way into a permanent home in my travel bag. It’s incredibly moisturizing; the only qualm I have is it’s a pot, and it’s a bit difficult to use throughout the day.
Laneige is launching lip balms in a squeeze tube in some delicious flavors that I want to get my hands on. These are supposed to soothe dead skin cells and coating the lips with moisture, be lightweight, and make the lips appear fuller. I can’t justify it right now, because I have so many balms going, but when I start to run out (which is soon), you can bet your bottom dollar I’m adding all of them to my cart.
The Laneige Lip Glowy Balms will be available on April 3 and retail for $15. There are also 4 flavors/colors/scents(?): berry, grapefruit, pear (want), and peach (also want).

I have a feeling I’m going to be lusting after a lot of new beauty launches in 2019, if spring is any indicator. What do you guys think? Is there anything on this list you also have your eye on? Or is there something I need to know about?
I hope you liked this spring anti haul! As always, drop a line in the comments section and let’s chat about makeup.
Thanks for stopping by,
