We love a good eye shadow palette around here, and I love when I can get my hands on new brands, new formulas, and new concepts. I’m super late to the party, but today we’re reviewing the Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals palette! The concept inspiration behind this palette is that beauty is your story to tell. So let’s find out if this palette’s story is a good one. Shall we?
For those that don’t know, Tati Beauty was founded by Youtuber Tati Westbrook, and this palette is the brand’s first release. Since the launch of the Textured Neutrals palette, Tati Beauty has released the Blendiful, a multi-purpose beauty sponge.
Also, if you hop over to my Instagram page, you can see a 3-Looks-1-Palette situation with this palette.
The Basics –
The Textured Neutrals palette retails for $48 on the brand’s website. The 24 pan shadow palette has finishes that range from matte to glitter and 6 monochromatic color stories.
The palette is vegan and cruelty-free.
The Packaging –
The packaging on this palette is sleek. I really enjoy it. However, if you’re someone who hates when palettes get dirty, you’re going to hate the matte finish of this palette. Personally I find messy looking palettes charming, but to each their own. The outer packaging is a matte black with rose gold block lettering, with an accent of a script font. I don’t like the font pairing, but that’s not really a deal breaker for me.
There is also a huge ass mirror with this palette — another thing I love. It’s such a high quality mirror, which makes traveling with this a breeze.
Tati also explained that the palette was designed to soften over time, so after some use, you can fold the palette for easier use.
The Shade Selection –
In my opinion, this isn’t a neutral palette. It’s quite warm toned, but even so, I do think the color stories are really pretty.
What really stands out about this palette is how it’s organized. It’s broken down into a grid — each horizontal row in one finish, and each vertical column is the color story.
The various textures include:
- Glitter – “A unique pressed gel system locks glitter in a cushiony base that glides on smoothly, never feels gritty, for long-lasting wear that won’t flake. Coconut oil adds creaminess and provides an extra glossy shine for extreme sparkle.”
- Metallic – “Gloss coated pearls glide effortlessly, creating a luminous metallic sheen that’s easy to blend and buildable, for maximum impact.”
- Sequin – “Silky smooth, intense pigments with contrasting pearls suspended throughout provide immediate color payoff. Coconut derived skin conditioning ingredients create a comfortable, all-day look.”
- Matte – “Luxuriously rich and creamy matte shadows provide true color payoff with superior blending for all over color, shading, and lining the eyes.”

The Review –
After playing with this palette for a few weeks, I’ve definitely got a few thoughts about it — mostly good.
I love how richly pigmented each of these shadows is. There aren’t any that are particularly patchy or better than the others in terms of quality. And while there are various textures in here, they are all smooth and easy to work with.
I’ve noticed with a lot of influencer palettes, they’re aimed at someone with a little makeup experience. While these shadows blend easily, which is good for beginners, they are pigmented off the gate. If you’re someone who prefers to build up pigmentation on your eyes, go in with a very light hand here.
While I think the palette is beautiful, it’s definitely a warm toned palette. I don’t know that I’d necessarily call this neutral, but warm neutral. So if you’re looking for neutral toned shades, this isn’t going to be for you.
My biggest qualm with this is that I don’t use all of the shades. I rarely touch the glitters or the sequin shades. However, that’s largely due to my own preferences and not the quality.
A lot of people claim the glitters don’t have any fallout. I agree, kind of. They are lovely to use on the eye. However, I did notice some irritation upon removal.
The Bottom Line –
The Textured Neutrals palette is pricey. It’s big, so there’s a chance you won’t want to use every single shade. However, the quality is there. It’s great. The bottom line is if the color story speaks to you, I definitely think this palette is worth the price.
Have any of you purchased the Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals palette? Or do you want to? I enjoy it, but I’m definitely going to hold off on purchasing another unless I’m really drawn in by the colors.
